VIDEO GENERALIST

JOB TITLE: Video Generalist

LOCATION: Ideally South East England (Brighton or London preferred)

TYPE: Full time

START DATE: ASAP

SALARY: Dependent on experience

Tanck is on the hunt for a brilliant Video Generalist to join our team and help bring our visuals to life. This is a hybrid creative/technical role perfect for someone with a sharp eye for animation, a solid grasp of show systems, and the hunger to grow with a small but mighty team.

You’ll be helping us develop and programme bespoke video content for artists & live events, as well as working with external studios and managing video systems on live shows. We’re looking for someone early in their career with taste, curiosity, and a portfolio that shows real potential. You’ll ideally be based in the South East (Brighton or London preferred) so you can spend some time hands on with our team, but there’s flexibility depending on the project. Please note with this role there is also a strong expectation of international touring & travel.

You’ll be working across our projects on a wide range of music and live experiences - so if you like slices, weird lighting rigs and messing around with pixelmaps, please read on.

Necessities & Core Skills

  - 2D animation (After Effects or similar)

  - 3D animation (Cinema4D, Blender or similar)

  - Video playback and control software (e.g. Resolume)

  - Comfortable collaborating with directors, show designers, and tech teams

  - Ability and willingness to tour nationally & internationally

 Desirable Extras

  - Familiarity with Disguise software

  - Experience with TouchDesigner or Notch

  - MA3 (for programming/triggering)

  - Comfortable working with video systems, racks and servers

Also Useful

  - Organisation skills and general tech-savviness (Google Drive, file wrangling, etc.)

  - A proactive attitude — someone who can spot what’s needed and just get on with it

  - Willingness to get stuck into both creative and logistical tasks — from animating to handling LED wall updates or broken peli wheels

  - A love for music, live performance and making cool stuff happen under pressure

What You’ll Get

  - The chance to grow with a close-knit, fast growing and creative team doing standout work in the live space

  - Hands-on experience across content development, show delivery and system design

  - Opportunities to tour or work on high-profile projects
